Is Freelancer Advantage the same as Freelancer.com, eLance.com and oDesk.com?

No. At no point will you deal with freelancers, Freelancer Advantage will do the work for you. Unlike the above websites, Freelancer Advantage has partnered with reliable Australian and overseas freelancer to produce quality at the right price.

Why would we use Freelancer Advantage over these websites?

You can, and if you feel comfortable, you should use other websites. However, beware there are potential pitfalls in doing this, such as: language barriers, trust, quality, project delays, scalable problems, confidentiality issues and more.

Freelancer Advantage aim is to remove these issues.

How does Freelancer Advantage benefit from providing this service?

Freelancer Advantage adds a project management fee on top of the freelancers fee. However as you will notice from the estimation provided when Submitting a Project, you will find us to be 50%-75% cheaper than other providers.

Why is Freelancer Advantage so cost effective?

Freelancers often don’t have the same overheads as other organisations, such as: staff, business rent, commuting costs, so they can keep their fees lower than a typical organisations that has to pay all of these overheads. By using Freelancer Advantage, we are hiring a freelancer, and cutting out many of these added costs, and just paying the basic hourly wage.

How do I find someone to hire?

You don’t, Freelancer Advantage is your one point of contact for the life of the project. Start by filling out a well-rounded description of the the type of work you require in the Submit A Project form and leave the rest to Freelancer Advantage.

How good are the freelancers?

Freelancer Advantage has partnered with Australian and overseas freelancers that have a proven track record of quality for the right price. Having worked on hundreds of projects, they understand your needs and are working closely with Freelancer Advantage to deliver the right outcome.

How do I write a good project post?

It’s not difficult to write a project post, you just have to remember the who, how, what, when, where and why rule. Being specific about the work and communication skills you need, your timeline and other details to helps us better manage your project and produce results.

How much will I be charged? 

It depends. Freelancer Advantage will provide an estimate on every job, and it’s up to you to accept or reject the offer made. Freelancer Advantage does require a 25% deposit before commencement of the project.

However you like. Freelancer Advantage provides transparency in the project by providing the client constant status updates, whether its by email, telephone, or via our project management tool. Freelancer Advantage creates an environment that makes hiring, managing and payment easy.

How do I know if I’m getting quality work?

Quality is in the eye of the beholder, but Freelancer Advantage gives you unprecedented ability to behold it.

What if there is a dispute?

Disputes are rare, Freelancer Advantage take resolution of any conflicts very seriously, and we live up to our promise. Regular updates, work samples, feedback and progress payments should be made to minimise risk to both parties. All payments should be made through a third party payment system such as Paypal to ensure they are recorded.

How does Freelancer Advantage protect intellectual property?

Freelancer Advantage encourages our clients to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with Freelancer Advantage. That contractual protection is passed to the client on any active Freelancer Advantage contract as long as work and payment are performed through Freelancer Advantage.

How much does it cost to join Freelancer Advantage?

Nothing. There are no fees for posting jobs.

Do I have to pay upfront?

No. However a deposit of 25% will need to be made.
